Smolare Waterfall

The Smolare waterfall is hidden among centenary beech trees on the northern slopes of Mount Belasica. Along the mountain trail, three hundred steps expect you to climb at an altitude of 600 meters.To get to the waterfall, you need to travel along a narrow, winding road in the region of the village of Smolari, along the lower course of the Lomnica River, also known as the Smolare River. Smolare is like most villages in Macedonia, a small village where kind and hospitable people live; locals preserving the rural tradition, while the ascent to the waterfalls reveals a beautiful view of Strumica valley.

Koleshino Waterfall

Koleshino waterfall is located in the southeastern part of the Republic of Macedonia, on the northern slopes of the mountain Belasica, in the lower course of the Baba River, at an altitude of 600 m.

It is one of the highest waterfalls in Macedonia, with a height of 15 m, with a width of about 6 m.According to the outset, it is a tectonic waterfall, created in granite stones. Contrary to the Koleshino Waterfall, some few smaller waterfalls are located at a distance of about 100 meters, scattered in a row, 2 to 4 meters high, belonging to its central basin.Koleshino is one of the most beautiful villages in Macedonia. The village is the only place in Macedonia (even in the Balkans), where you will find a specific kind of fern so called royal fern (osmunda regalis).

Korab Falls

Korab Falls (also known as Proifel Falls) is a waterfall in the upper course of the Dlaboka River on Mount Korab.It forms in springtime from the melting snow on the east side of Mal Korab peak.The waterfall differs in height and intensity, depending on the season. It is the highest waterfall in Macedonia and the Balkan Peninsula.There are different sources about the height of the waterfall, and the calculated drop varies from 100 to 138 m (328 to 453 ft). The exact height may differ in different points that are taken as its top and bottom, at different measurements. The upper point is at approximately 2,120 metres (6,960 ft) above sea level, and the lower is at around 1,990 metres (6,530 ft).

Duf Falls

In the valley of the river Radika, in the Reka region,at the foot of the Deshat Mountain, in the national park Mavrovo is located the mountain village Rostushe, in the immediate vicinity of which is the natural rarity and beauty – Duf waterfall.What makes this waterfall special and separates it from other waterfalls is the height of the rock from which the water falls. As it falls the water from that height creates an incredible sound and view, which reminds us of something very powerful and grandiose. Nature creates wonders, and so this Duf waterfall was created. In the spring, the image of the waterfall and the feelings that it brings to the visitors are much bigger and real.
