Theatre for Children and Youth in Skopje

Located right in the heart of the city, the Theater for Children and Youth was established and funded by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Macedonia in 1990. Three different types of shows, puppet, children’s and youth, are being performed throughout the country and abroad. Since the founding of the theater, over 220 shows were performed on its stage including 3 premieres.

The schedule and repertoire of “Theater for Children and Youth” is closely tied to the school year so our performances are on a regular repertoire from September to June. In the summer, we visit the children’s play festivals in and out of the Republic of Macedonia. These wonderful visits give us the chance to exchange perspectives with our colleagues abroad to present them our unselfish vision of an acting world that raises and inspires generations of young people. This is how our friendship and collaboration with many other artists in the region and the world expands.
