The opening ceremony of the 28th edition of “Interfest” will take place on Wednesday, October 2 at 8 pm on the stage of the Bitola Theater. The International Festival of Classical Music “Interfest Bitola 2019” will begin with a gala opera concert of soloists and the National Opera and Ballet Orchestra, conducted by Bisera Jadlovska and Ivan Eminovic.
According to the program, artists from Italy, France, Poland and Northern Macedonia will perform at the festival stages at the Bitola Museum, Cultural Center and National Theater-Bitola until October 11. This year Italy will host duo accordion and piano Giancarlo Calabria and Simone Pagani, duo guitar and piano Lapo Vanucci and Luca Toridjiani, as well as the Italian Baroque trio “Old Music” which will conclude the festival. But Bitola will also host concerts by France’s Fortchello, piano and flute by Teresa Kaban and Henry Blazej of Poland, as well as Macedonian artists Tome Kostovski-piano, Valentin Naumov-violin and Verica Divitarova-piano. The International Festival of Classical Music “Interfest” has been held since 1992, with initiators and founders Milica Sperovic Ribarski and Kiril Ribarski.
