Galichnik Film Festival

From today until August 30, 2020, the first edition of the Galichnik Film Festival will be held. The new cultural event promotes the art of short film, but also new film authors and their achievements from the region and beyond. Festival received more than 2,000 short films from all over the world, but only 50 films were selected in three competing categories: Feature, Documentary and Animated Short Film. The organizers of Darma Film, in cooperation with the Local Community of Galichnik, announce the screening of several world premieres, but also film titles with participation in the Venice Film Festival, the Palm Springs Short Film Festival, the Toronto International Film Festival in San Diego, Berlin, USA festival in Sarajevo, and now available to the Macedonian audience. One of the novelties brought by the festival is a film that is a filmed version of a theatrical performance – a new hybrid form that is gaining momentum.
